The APIs are intended to support the entire engineering process from a substation IED to a complete substation control system and from preliminary analysis and design to in-service administration.

Another set of application services and program interfaces are available for monitoring and controlling of the SCADA equipment and related field devices. The system is used for various administrative controlling functionalities like data acquisition, real time monitoring and analysis of the data based on the history.
